Nanaimo & Region Disability Resource Centre The Nanaimo & Region Disability Resource Centre (a member of Independent Living Canada, a nationwide organization supporting people living with disabilities) is looking for a Peer Support Coordinator with a look to the Independent Living philosophy. You are energetic, upbeat, and a team player sensitive to the issues of people living with disabilities. A self-starter, you are able to identify, plan, organize and direct peer support activities and workshops. You are able to bring people together in a supportive environment where they feel free to share their experience and strength with others. Capable of forming cooperative partnerships with various groups in support of Independent Living initiatives, you will be expected to represent the Centre to other resources as well as in the community at large.
